Small group, but excellent discussion:
Question about “Morning Star” referring to Satan in Isaiah 14:12-14 and then in Revelation 22:16 referring to Jesus. Key: what is the word pointing to (the referent in each passage)? The King of Babylon is reflecting what Satan had done in his own rebellion (so also in Ezekiel 28 with King of Tyre). In Revelation with Satan defeated, the true and rightful title of Morning Star is now applied to Jesus.
Question about differences between NKJV and other translations; discussed manuscript history and how there are at least two strains of manuscript traditions, one early and one late. Spent time showing how the differences show up in various texts.
